General

• Hotfix1 (Build 2018.2.1.428) installs on Autodesk Nastran In-CAD 2018.2 (Build 2018.2.0.427).
• When appending this Hotfix 1 to a deployment, it is recommended to update the deployment image on the same bit-type machine as the machine for the final installation from that image. For more information about Network Deployments, see the Network Administrator's Guide.
• Keep the original installation media or network image readily accessible during installation and uninstallation in case you are prompted for it.

Installation

• Install Autodesk Nastran In-CAD 2018 Hotfix 1 only on those machines which have Autodesk Nastran In-CAD 2018.2 and Autodesk Inventor 2018.2 with any additional updates.
• Please update Windows 7: Windows Update is in the Control Panel, which is accessible from the Start menu.

Please update Windows 8: Windows Update is in the Control Panel, on the desktop Charms Bar, Settings menu.

• You can download 2018.2 update on 2018.1: Autodesk_Nastran_InCAD_2018.2.msp or update it from Autodesk Desktop App.
• Download Hotfix 2: Autodesk_Nastran_InCAD_2018.2_HF1.exe
• Double click the .exe file to update Autodesk Nastran In-CAD 2018.2 with Hotfix 1. A progress bar displays while the installer updates the files on your system. When done, click Finish.
• If required, reboot the system after installation of the Hotfix 1 is finished.
• To verify the success of the installation, start Autodesk Nastran In-CAD. On the Ribbon bar of Autodesk Nastran click the About button. If the About box displays: Build: 2018.2.1.428, the installation was successful.

Installation Requirements

• Verify that you have administrator privileges on your local machine to install Autodesk Nastran In-CAD 2018.2 Hotfix 1.
• The installer only works on Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 OS.

Summary of Fixed Issues

General Issues

• Bearing Load functionality is resolved in that the load is radial to the theoretical surface. The magnitude of the reaction force is more accurate with a finer mesh.
• Random crash due to memory leakage is resolved.
• Units conversion for Frictional stiffness for stick in surface contact dialog is resolved.
• The stress on shell elements is shown on the proper side. The normal direction does not need to be reversed.
• 1D results plot missing Units conversion drop down menu at mini tool bar is resolved.
• SPC Summation results use the units chosen from the Model Tree.
