pymel.core.rendering.shadingConnection

shadingConnection(*args, **kwargs)

Sets the connection state of a connection between nodes that are used in shading. Specify the destination attribute of the connection. In query mode, return type is based on queried flag.

Flags:

connectionState (cs) bool ../../../_images/create.gif ../../../_images/query.gif ../../../_images/edit.gif

Specifies the state of the connection. On/True/1 means the connection is still active. Off/False/0 means the connection is inactive. Flag can have multiple arguments, passed either as a tuple or a list.

Derived from mel command maya.cmds.shadingConnection

Example:

import pymel.core as pm

pm.shadingConnection( 'lambert1.color', e=True, cs=0 )
pm.shadingConnection( 'spotLightShape1.intensity', q=True, cs=True )
# Result: True #
