pymel.core.modeling.subdMirror

subdMirror(*args, **kwargs)

This command takes a subdivision surface, passed as the argument, and produces a subdivision surface that is a mirror. Returns the name of the subdivision surface created and optionally the DG node that does the mirroring.

Flags:
Long name (short name) Argument Types Properties
caching (cch) bool ../../../_images/create.gif ../../../_images/query.gif ../../../_images/edit.gif

Modifies the node caching mode. See the node documentation for more information. Note:For advanced users only.
constructionHistory (ch) bool ../../../_images/create.gif

Turn the construction history on or off (where applicable)
name (n) unicode ../../../_images/create.gif

Name the resulting object
nodeState (nds) int ../../../_images/create.gif ../../../_images/query.gif ../../../_images/edit.gif

Modifies the node state. See the node documentation for more information. Note:For advanced users only. Common flags
object (o) bool ../../../_images/create.gif

Create the result, or just the dep. node (where applicable) Flag can have multiple arguments, passed either as a tuple or a list.
xMirror (xm) bool ../../../_images/create.gif ../../../_images/query.gif ../../../_images/edit.gif

Mirror the vertices in X Default:false
yMirror (ym) bool ../../../_images/create.gif ../../../_images/query.gif ../../../_images/edit.gif

Mirror the vertices in Y Default:false
zMirror (zm) bool ../../../_images/create.gif ../../../_images/query.gif ../../../_images/edit.gif

Mirror the vertices in Z Default:false Advanced flags

Derived from mel command maya.cmds.subdMirror

Example:

import pymel.core as pm

# To create a new subd surface mirrored in the X direction.
pm.subdMirror( 'subdivShape1', xMirror=True )
