End of Sale of New Perpetual Licenses (Autodesk® AutoCAD LT® Family products)

Dear Autodesk Customer,
You are receiving this message because you or your organization may have Autodesk software licenses that could be impacted by an upcoming change, and we would like to prepare you for it.
In February 2015, Autodesk announced that we plan to discontinue perpetual licensing for most individual software products. As a first step in moving to software being purchased via subscription only, we will discontinue the sale of perpetual licenses for the Autodesk® AutoCAD LT® Family products after 31 October 2015.
This means that after 31 October 2015, perpetual licenses of Autodesk AutoCAD LT Family products will no longer be available for sale in the following countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
Here is the list of products in the Autodesk AutoCAD LT Family: Autodesk AutoCAD LT, Autodesk AutoCAD LT for Mac®, Autodesk Inventor LT™, Autodesk Revit LT™, Autodesk AutoCAD® Inventor LT™ Suite, Autodesk Revit LT™ Suite.
Perpetual licenses of the above products on Maintenance Subscription purchased on or before 31 October 2015 will continue to receive corresponding benefits for as long as the subscription remains active.
New seats of most individual software products, excluding Design and Creation Suites, will generally be available only as pay-as-you-go Desktop Subscription options globally after 31 January 2016.

I understand that these changes are complex, and may be disruptive for you and your business. I would like to briefly share the rationale behind them. How the world is being designed and built is changing rapidly. In turn, it is changing the tools used and the ways people buy and access tools. We believe that, over time, Desktop Subscription will give you more value and flexibility than perpetual licenses. You will get a simplified product management and deployment experience. It will also be easier to introduce new tools and more seats into a project, with lower upfront costs and the ability to pay as you go.
