Follow the steps in this section to manage ownership through an Autodesk Vault Add-in.
AutoCAD Vault Add-in
With Workgroup Replication enabled, it is possible to manage ownership of a file from within AutoCAD.
Access Manage Ownership
- Right-click on the file and select Manage Ownership.
- In the Manage Ownership dialog, select the length of time your workgroup will own the file.
- Select OK to apply the ownership change.
NoteWhen invoked from Civil 3D's Prospector, on a drawing that hosts object(s), ownership of the drawing and also of the data
file(s) that represent the object(s) will be transferred together, as long as ownership is available for transfer.
Manage Sheet Set Ownership
The command Manage Ownership can be invoked from Sheet Set node as well as Sheet nodes. When invoked from the Sheet Set node,
ownership for all sheet drawings and the related data files is requested. When invoked from the sheet node, ownership for
the sheet drawing and the related data files is requested.
Inventor Vault Add-in
With Workgroup Replication enabled, it is possible to manage ownership of a file from within the Inventor Vault browser.
Access Manage Ownership
- Right-click on the file and select Manage Ownership.
- In the Manage Ownership dialog, select the length of time your workgroup will own the file.
- Select OK to apply the ownership change.
