WARNING: DO NOT PROCEED until Service Pack 2 has been successfully applied on ALL ADMS and AVFS servers.

  1. Use the appropriate server and ADMS Console application.
  2. Restart the web service by typing 'iisreset' at the command prompt.
  3. Open the ADMS Console and perform the database migration.
  4. If necessary, attach any previously detached databases and allow the migration to complete.
NOTE: On Connected Workgroup environments, the SQL snapshot agent may not handle generating the initial snapshot. If this occurs, restart the SQL snapshot agent.

SUMMARY OF ISSUES ADDRESSED

ADMS - Server:
  1. Files released on one workgroup would not show released on other workgroups for a time period ranging from hours to days.
  2. In a replicated environment, Index Block Attributes were not shown in ADMS Console for all workgroups due to time zone differences.
  3. Resolved conflicts in replication to improve replication performance.
  4. Log files have been updated to support Token Flex Licensing.
  5. Exporting a Vault configuration, when Category rules for file and item exists with the same name, would result in a message containing, "An error occurred when applying configuration".
  6. This update solves a problem connecting to a SSL configured Autodesk Data Management Server when using Autodesk Vault File Server.
  7. System Property mappings will no longer be re-added after a migration (B2B or full migration).
  8. When a Vault server is configured for SSL, users were able to log in with the thin client but not with the SDK (Vault clients).
Client:
  1. Changing revision on a file could result in a "Warning: Possible unexpected results" message.
  2. Performing an update in Vault Explorer immediately after checking in a file could result in missing data in the details pane.
  3. CER (Crash Error Reports) resolved:
    1. Resolved an intermittent CER occurring when there are too many shortcuts defined in the My Shortcuts pane.
    2. Some batch plot configurations with many sheets would generate a CER.
    3. Additional enhancements to avoid more general CERs.
Item/BOM:
  1. Corrections for the Item BOM revision drop down (missing revisions) and mismatching revisions displayed on the revision drop down, details pane and vertical property pane.
  2. In an Item BOM, removing and re-adding the On/Off column could result in application error when attempting to sort by the column.
  3. Enhancements to avoid some BOM export issues.
  4. 'Go To Item' and 'Assign/Update Item' would not work for Items assigned to an AutoCAD Electrical DWGs.
  5. Selecting 'Go To Item' would sometimes result in the message, "Sequence contains no matching element".
  6. When turning off BOM rows for sub-assemblies in an Item, Parts were still visible in the Parts Only view.
  7. In certain circumstances, while it is possible to go to an Item from a file, the Item cannot be found in an Item search or may not be listed in the Items details pane.
    1. NOTE: Once this update is applied, the affected Item must be edited and saved to completely resolve this issue.
  8. In some cases, BOM data is not preserved properly resulting in an “Unknown Server Error” during check in or result in an Item update failure.
  9. The Vault Configuration Administrator is now able to set the File Item link Behavior to always create a standard component link for each sub-component created using the Assign/Update Item command.
    1. Administrator may run the utility and set the option to always create standard component links for NEW sub-component during the Assign/Update item process.
    2. As a result of this configuration change, Assign/Update Item command will set all NEW sub-component links to be standard component links. The resulting link behavior will be the same as standard component link. Assign/Update Item will NOT update existing sub-component links.
    3. All NEW sub-component links will NOT honor the auto-select first duplicates flag.
    4. Vault Configuration Administrators may enable this configuration change by running a utility (via command line, no User Interface) and passing the proper arguments such as Vault Server Name, Vault name, Administrator ID (sa), etc. There will be no end-user level configuration setting to allow individual users to overwrite the Administrative setting (e.g. this is a Global Vault environment setting).
    5. To enable this configuration change:
      1. Download the configuration change utility provided with this Service Pack
      2. Unzip the configuration change files into a Vault Server local drive
      3. Browse to the 'SetCreateStdComponentLinkSwitch' folder to find the 'fix.bat' script
      4. Open the 'fix.bat' configuration script to configure the parameters according to your Vault environment
      5. Execute the 'fix.bat' configuration script to set the designated server flag
      6. To undo this change, repeat the above steps using the 'RemoveCreateStdComponentLinksSwitch' files provided with this Service Pack
    6. In replicated Vault environments, run the configuration change script on the Publisher only. Running it on Subscribers may cause conflicts.
Copy Design:
  1. Certain characters in a path (ex. apostrophe or ampersand) would cause Copy Design to fail with the message, "Illegal characters in path".
AutoCAD:
  1. Some ACAD files would have an unresolved reference after performing move/rename in Vault.
  2. Additional improvement for opening an AutoCAD Civil 3D sheet set containing a large number of sheets.
  3. Using Dynamic Blocks in an AutoCAD DWG would result in property extraction for only one block. Other blocks would not be available for property mapping.
Inventor:
  1. Logging into Vault from Inventor as a "Content Center library read only user" would result in an object reference error message.
  2. CER (Crash Error Reports) resolved:
    1. Deleting then reattaching a part with an attachment would result in a CER in Inventor when expanding the part in the Vault pane.
    2. Inventor Vault pane workflows related to attachment deletion.
    3. Enhancements to avoid CERs for certain operations like deleting a reference or a group of references, suppressing references and switching amongst LODs.
    4. Enhancements to avoid CERs for some Vault add-in startup crashes.
Thin Client:
  1. Correction for being unable to download the current Released file when the tip revision is NOT in a Released state.
  2. Performing an advanced search in the Thin Client would not allow paging for large search result sets. Some horizontal scrolling may be required to activate paging in some cases.
  3. Preview of visualization files was not working for Thin Client when using Internet Explorer 10.
Revit:
  1. When more than one user works on a Revit project, files and the global project were not maintained properly in the Vault.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
