MAYA-56585 | Crash activating audio node when path is driven by a string on another node |
Bifröst | |
MAYA-58020 | Aero particles now properly inherit the emitter's velocity when no emission velocity is set |
FBX | |
MAYA-48246 | FBX: wrong translation in FBX option (Japanese) - Advanced Options > Units > File units > Feet |
Viewport | |
MAYA-43906 | Improved feature detection and fixes the number of textures that can be used |
MAYA-49753 | When calling MFragmentManager::addShadeFragmentFromBuffer(),fragment XML files <implementation> tag attributes parsing is now order independent; thus it is no longer required to follow a specific correct order for the attributes. |
MAYA-56379 | On the Windows/Linux platforms, the heads up display issue in OpenGL Core Profile mode that was present on recent NVIDIA display drivers (such as versions higher than 353.30) is now fixed. Other effects that were not appearing correctly, for example, sprites particles now also render correctly. |
Uniforms are now handled correctly during multi-pass drawing in ShaderFX and GLSL shaders | |
MAYA-56600 | Viewport 2.0: Vertex Animation Cache is not invalidated when keyframe is inserted |
MAYA-57589 | Viewport 2.0: Isolate Select isn't taken into account during Playblast |

The following section describes limitations and workarounds (where applicable) about this release.
Bug Number | Description |
---|---|
Rendering The following limitations pertain to the lookdevKit.mll plug-in: | |
MAYA-57765 | Color attribute on the Color Constant node cannot be animated. |
MAYA-57215 | Switching of operations on the Color Logic node is not supported in mental ray rendering. |
MAYA-56831 MAYA-58070 | The Color Mask node may not produce the expected results in Viewport 2.0 and with the Maya Hardware 2.0 renderer. Workaround: Use the mental ray renderer instead. |
MAYA-58024 | Clamp Color attribute in the Color Correct node may not work as expected when rendered with the mental ray renderer. |
Viewport | |
MAYA-54666 | If you experience a crash upon Maya start-up or exit, and you are using an NVIDIA graphics card, upgrading to the latest graphics card drivers may workaround the problem. |
Modeling - Sculpting | |
MAYA-40113 | Mesh may flicker when sculpting in a viewport running in DirectX11 mode. |
Modeling - UVs | |
MAYA-42167 | Transfer Attributes will not transfer UVs if the source object’s history is deleted. |
Modeling - Type and SVG | |
MAYA-57314 | Multi-byte characters (such as Japanese or Chinese) may not create geometry as expected with the Type Tool. It is preferable to use Meiryo UI and MS UI Gothic fonts. For other fonts, although you may be able to enter your phrase in the text field with multi-byte characters, they may not appear, or not appear as expected in the viewport. |
MAYA-57982 | Deformable Mesh does not support self-intersecting polygons. When importing or pasting an SVG file with opened curves, Maya's tessellator will automatically close them which can lead to some unexpected geometry.
Workaround: In general, it is best to close all paths in Illustrator before attempting to bring the object into Maya. |
MAYA-58161 | Some fonts with low curve resolution may produce overlapping faces.
Workaround: Increase Curve Resolution in the Attribute Editor’s Geometry tab. See Troubleshooting Extrusion Shapes in the Maya Help. |
MAYA-58765 | Type’s Animation Mode: More than one word must exist in the text field for animation to be possible.
Workaround: Add a space after the single word, or switch to Animation Mode: Character and reduce Delay Frames to 0. |

The first time you start Maya, the Customer Involvement Program (CIP) dialog box appears. If you choose to participate in the CIP, Maya automatically sends Autodesk information about your system configuration, what features you use most, any problems that you encounter, and other information helpful to the future direction of the product. For further information, see http://www.autodesk.com/cip.
We are able to improve the stability of Maya largely because of the Customer Error Reports (CER) submitted by users of our products. We thank you for taking the time to fill out these reports and ask that you include as much information as possible about what actions you were performing at the time the error occurred. These details raise the value of the report immensely and are very much appreciated by the Autodesk Maya Engineering team.
For further information about CERs, see http://www.autodesk.com/cer.
