Accumulator Sample
This sample is a model of a Hydraulic Power Pack. It consists of a hydraulic tank that supplies
oil to the pump which is driven by an electric motor. The accumulators mounted to the side of the
hydraulic tank are used to store hydraulic power which can be used in a
situation where the electric motor is not working.
This sample shows a combination of plumbing, including rigid
tubes and rubber hose.
The dimensions and constraints have been deleted from Pipe
Routes to allow you to experiment with Inventor’s ability to update Tube &
Pipe Runs when a change is made to the fittings positions.
- You’ll
notice that the larger diameter copper tube (Pipe Run 1) is interfering
with a valve connected to the pump.
Try adding an angle constraint to the large Elbow (HF33269:2) so it
is positioned horizontally. Notice
how the copper tube connected to the fitting updates and no longer
interferes with the valve.
- You
can do the same to the Elbow at the other end of the large copper tube.
- Try
changing the angle of one of the large elbows to 90 degrees. Since the Route was created with the Autoroute feature, the Pipe Run updates the number of
legs automatically to conform to the rules set by the Tube & Pipe
Style set for Pipe Run 1.
- Try
editing the rubber hose in Hose Run 1.
Since the Route is created with a spline with no constraints or
dimensions you can easily change the shape of the spline and the Hose Run
will update accordingly.
