Autodesk Customization Conversion tools help you with migration from previous versions of AutoCAD-based products to AutoCAD 2004 and later versions. The Autodesk Customization Conversion tools (CCTSETUP.exe) include the following migration tools:

• AutoLISP® Compatibility Analyzer
• Command Alias (PGP) Porter
• ScriptPro
• Layer State Converter

AutoLISP Compatibility Analyzer

AutoLISP Compatibility Analyzer details any AutoCAD® 2004 and later compatibility issues found in AutoLISP and Menu LISP files. AutoLISP Compatibility Analyzer searches for known AutoCAD 2004 and later compatibility issues. When an issue is found, an explanation of the compatibility issue and suggestions on how to correct it are provided.

Command Alias (PGP) Porter

Command Alias (PGP) Porter was designed to help you bring your custom command aliases from previous versions of AutoCAD into AutoCAD 2004 and later versions. You can also use this tool to add, replace, or remove command aliases from any AutoCAD PGP file.

ScriptPro

ScriptPro takes AutoCAD scripting to a new level with an easy-to-use interface, logging, reusable project files, enhanced scripting with new keywords and utilities, and robust error recovery. Using ScriptPro, you can apply a set of commands to multiple drawings by simply specifying a script file and the list of drawings that you would like to apply the script to.

Layer State Converter

Layer State Converter allows you to convert between the layer states created by LMAN (one of the AutoCAD® Express Tools) and the saved layer states introduced in AutoCAD® 2000i software.

To use Layer State Converter, you must load the AcLSConvert.arx file in the program. Once you have loaded AcLSConvert.arx, type one of the following commands on the AutoCAD command line:

• CONVERTLS - Converts AutoCAD layer states to LMAN layer states.
• CONVERTLMAN - Converts LMAN layer states to AutoCAD layer states.

• Microsoft® Windows® XP Home
• Microsoft® Windows® XP Tablet PC
• Microsoft® Windows® 2000
• Microsoft® Windows NT® 4.0 with SP 6a or later (this operating system is not supported in AutoCAD 2005-based and later products)

• Autodesk Map® 2004 and later
• Autodesk® Land Desktop 2004 and later
• Autodesk® Mechanical Desktop® 2004 and later

Note: This product is not intended to operate with any version of AutoCAD LT®.

To install the Autodesk Customization Conversion tools:

1. Download the Autodesk Customization Conversion tools (CCTSETUP.exe) file.
2. Close all running applications.
3. Double-click CCTSETUP.exe.
4. In the Autodesk Customization Conversion Tools Installation wizard, on the Welcome page, click Next.
5. On the Software License Agreement page, select the appropriate country, and click "I accept" to accept the license agreement. Click Next.
6. On the Product Locations page, click Next. All installed AutoCAD 2004-based and later products will be updated with the Customization Conversion tools.
   Note: All products for which you want to install the Customization Conversion tools must be installed before you install the tools. If you decide later to install the tools on another AutoCAD 2004-based (or later) product, you will need to uninstall the tools first, and then reinstall them after you have installed all of your products.
7. On the Setup Confirmation page, click Next.
8. After the installation is complete, click Finish.

To uninstall the Autodesk Customization Conversion tools:

1. In the Windows Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs.
2. In the Currently Installed Programs list, select Autodesk Customization Conversion Tools, and then click either Add/Remove or Change/Remove.
3. Select Remove, and then click Next.
4. When the Uninstall confirmation is displayed, click Next.
5. Click Finish.

AutoLISP Compatibility Analyzer

AutoLISP Compatibility Analyzer examines complete lines of text; therefore, it may not recognize function calls that are spread over multiple lines, as in the following example:

ScriptPro

The Migration Tools sample files, located in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Migration Tools, are intended for AutoCAD 2004 and later releases only. Do not use these sample script files with Autodesk Architectural Desktop, Autodesk Map, Autodesk Land Desktop, Autodesk Mechanical Desktop, or AutoCAD Mechanical.

It's a good idea to make backup copies of your files before doing any kind of automated batch processing.

If ScriptPro closes unexpectedly during execution of a project file, you may need to clean up some temporary files that were left behind in your temp directory. These files have the following naming syntax: "ScriptPro[NUMBER]"

You may also need to reset the following AutoCAD settings to your preference the next time you start AutoCAD:

LOGFILEMODE (log file on or off)

LOGFILEPATH (location of AutoCAD log files)
