Important Notes & Disclaimers

If your workstation is not listed in this document, please refer to the Maya 2008 Qualification Chart as additional workstations and portable computers were qualified on that version. Note that all workstations qualified on Maya 2008 are also supported on Maya 2008 Extension 2.
Please refer to the graphics hardware page to obtain further information on the graphics cards that have been qualified for Maya
Please refer to the hardware vendor site to get a list of all supported graphics cards for the workstations listed below
All hardware qualification done on Maya 2008 Extension 2 have been performed using the following configuration:
- Single screen at resolution of 1920x1200 (60Hz)
- 4 GB of RAM (workstations) 2 GB of RAM (laptops)
- SATA drives
- Virtual memory (swap file size) : maximum size set to 4 GB
- Microsoft Windows Classic Theme
- Visual Effects Settings adjusted for ‘best performance’ (found in the performance options of system properties)
- All qualifications done on Microsoft Vista Business operating system have been done with the ‘desktop composition’ feature disabled (often referred as the AERO feature)

It may be possible to successfully use Maya with a non-qualified or partially qualified configuration, but support and maintenance programs will be subject to the Autodesk Support service guidelines
The graphics drivers specified in this document are the drivers that were used for the qualification process. While it may be possible to use Maya successfully on earlier or later drivers, Autodesk cannot guarantee their performance or behavior. The same apply for the systems configuration described above.
