Using Reference View Sets and View > View Selected References, you can view only selected references in your current scene.

Reference View Sets

Reference View Sets are bookmarks that display a specific subset of the references in the current scene.

Reference View Sets are created when the View Selected References menu item is used in the Reference Editor (see View menu). When this menu item is selected, only the references selected in the Reference Editor are shown. This can be useful in complex scenes that contain many referenced files.

By default, the Reference View Sets are named “referenceViewSet”, and are numbered sequentially (for example, referenceViewSet1, referenceViewSet2). At any time, you can restore the filtered view of references by selecting the appropriate Reference View Set from the View Menu (see View menu).

To rename a Reference View Set

  1. In the View menu of the Reference Editor, select the option box next to the Reference View Set you want to rename.

The Edit Reference View Set window appears.

  2. Type a new name for the Reference View Set and click Rename.

To delete a Reference View Set

  1. In the View menu of the Reference Editor, select the option box next to the Reference View Set you want to delete.

The Edit Reference View Set window appears.

  2. Click Delete.
TipThe View menu items are also available from the context-sensitive menu in the Reference Editor. To display this menu, select a file reference and right-click the item.
