Creates a motion trail for the current object. See To create a Motion Trail.

Time Range

Set one of the following options:

Time Slider

Creates a Motion Trail for all the frames in the time slider.

Start/End

Creates a Motion Trail for the frames specified by the Start Time and End Time.

Start Time

The time at which the motion trail begins. This field is available only when Start/End under Time Range is selected.

End Time

The time at which the motion trail ends. This field is available only when Start/End under Time Range is selected.

Increment

Specifies the number of frames between which the Motion Trail is drawn.

Update

Set one of the following options:

On Demand

Updates the Motion Trail only when you select Animate > Update Motion Trail/Snapshot.

Fast (Update Only When Keyframes Change)

Updates the Motion Trail when you add or change a keyframe for the object with the Motion Trail. It won’t update if you change an expression.

Slow (Always Update)

Updates the Motion Trail if you change anything in the shape or animation of the object with the Motion Trail. This includes translating or deforming the object.

Draw Style

Sets how the Motion Trail is drawn. Select Line, Locator, or Point.

Frames

Turn on Show Frame Numbers to see the number of the frame at which the Motion Trail is drawn.
