Convert polygon faces to triangles or quadrangles

Converting polygon faces to triangles is a quick way to ensure non-planar faces render properly. Converting polygon faces to quads is a good way to clean up polygons or reduce the number of faces.

To convert faces to triangles or quadrangles

Select the faces.
Do one of the following:
- Select Mesh > Triangulate.
- Select Mesh > Quadrangulate.
