Important Patch Notes:

[1]  Ensure that you load the correct patch revision. The two-digit suffix at the end of the patch number indicates the patch revision. Installed patch revisions should be the same or greater than the revision numbers shown in the table above.
[2]  For details on how to obtain and install patches please contact your local Sun dealer or visit the Sun website at www.sun.com
[3]  Solaris 7 releases prior to August 1999 may experience problems reading the StudioTools CD (as well as other ISO9660 CDROMs). In order to successfully install StudioTools 9.5, please ensure that you have patch 107465-02 or a Solaris 7 release dated 8/99 or later (which includes patch 107465-02).To find out which Solaris 7 version is installed, type the following in a shell:
cat /etc/release

If your version of Solaris 7 is dated 8/99 or later, the patch has already been installed and you can begin installation of StudioTools 9.5.
If your version of Solaris is dated prior to 8/99, you must install patch 107465-02 before continuing with the installation of StudioTools 9.5.

Important Notes:

Please Read
A three button mouse is required. At least 128 MB of RAM is required and 256 MB is recommended to run StudioTools for the Solaris(TM) operating environment. The patches specified in this table are the patches that were used for the qualification process. While it may be possible to use StudioTools for the Solaris(TM) operating environment successfully with earlier or later patches, Alias cannot guarantee their performance or reliability. It may be possible to successfully use StudioTools for the Solaris(TM) operating environment with a non-qualified configuration, but support and maintenance programs will be subject to the Alias Support Services guidelines. Certain Sun Microsystems keyboards have layouts that might make marking menus and hotkey commands difficult to use. On these keyboards the Caps Lock and Control keys are reversed. If you have a Sun keyboard that does not have the Control key at the bottom-left corner and you find hotkeys or marking menus difficult to use, it is recommended that you order a replacement keyboard from Sun Microsystems. The information in this document is current as of February 28, 2000. Alias will continue to explore new candidates for StudioTools for the Solaris (TM) operating environment qualification and will monitor the current configurations. For the most recent information on qualification, please refer to www.aliaswavefront.com.
