To freeze based on a paint layer

Note

Every model in the scene that uses the material whose layers are shown will have freezing applied to it.

  1. Right-click a paint layer, or open the Paint layer menu () and select Freeze From Selected.

    The mesh is frozen based on the levels of luminance in each area. Areas of low luminance (black) receive more freezing, and areas of high luminance (white) less freezing. Areas with no paint (transparent areas) are completely frozen.

    NoteYou can invert the freeze by using Edit > Invert Freeze (Shift+I).
