Edit polygons with Quad Draw

 
 
 

Several Quad Draw hotkeys let you edit your Quad Draw mesh without switching to a different tool. See Create new topology with Quad Draw.

To insert edge loops with Quad Draw

  1. -drag your cursor over an edge on your Quad Draw mesh.

    A green dotted edge loop preview locator line appears on the mesh, indicating where the new edge loop will be inserted.

  2. -click to insert an edge loop.
    Tip + -drag to insert an edge loop that automatically snaps to the middle of the path.

To tweak components with Quad Draw

  1. Do either of the following:
    • -drag components.
    • + -drag an edge loop.
    Tip When Auto-weld is enabled and you tweak components, Quad Draw automatically welds components that are moved close together.

To delete components with Quad Draw

  1. Do either of the following:
    • To delete a face, -click a face.
    • To delete an edge loop, -click an edge loop.
