static context.threePointArcCtx(*args, **kwargs)

The threePointArcCtx command creates a new context for creating 3 point arcs

Flags:
Long name (short name) Argument Types Properties
degree (d) int ../../../_images/create.gif ../../../_images/query.gif ../../../_images/edit.gif
 
VAlid values are 1 or 3. Default degree 3.
exists (ex) bool  
   
history (ch) bool  
   
image1 (i1) unicode  
   
image2 (i2) unicode  
   
image3 (i3) unicode  
   
name (n) unicode  
   
spans (s) int ../../../_images/create.gif ../../../_images/query.gif ../../../_images/edit.gif
 
Default is 8. Flag can have multiple arguments, passed either as a tuple or a list.

Derived from mel command maya.cmds.threePointArcCtx

Example:

import pymel.core as pm

# To create a new context that will create curves of degree 1:
pm.threePointArcCtx( "arcContext", degree=1 )
# Result: u'arcContext' #
pm.setToolTo("arcContext")

# To query the degree of an existing context:
pm.threePointArcCtx( "arcContext", q=True, degree=True )
# Result: 1 #

# To edit the degree of an existing context:
pm.threePointArcCtx( "arcContext", e=True, degree=3 )
# Result: u'arcContext' #
