pymel.core.context.polyCreaseCtx

static context.polyCreaseCtx(*args, **kwargs)

Create a new context to crease components on polygonal objects In query mode, return type is based on queried flag.

Flags:
Long name (short name) Argument Types Properties
createSet (cs) unicode ../../../_images/edit.gif

Creates a set for the selected components. Flag can have multiple arguments, passed either as a tuple or a list.
exists (ex) bool

extendSelection (es) bool ../../../_images/create.gif ../../../_images/query.gif ../../../_images/edit.gif

Enable/disable extending selection to all connected creased components.
image1 (i1) unicode

image2 (i2) unicode

image3 (i3) unicode

relative (r) bool ../../../_images/create.gif ../../../_images/query.gif ../../../_images/edit.gif

Enable/disable applying value relative to existing crease value. If disabled, absolute value is applied.

Derived from mel command maya.cmds.polyCreaseCtx

Example:

import pymel.core as pm

# Create a poly plane
pm.polyPlane(w=10, h=10, sx=1, sy=1, n='pPlane1')

# Create a new poly crease context, then switch to it
pm.polyCreaseCtx('polyCreaseCtx1')
pm.setToolTo('polyCreaseCtx1')
