Processing in Stereo Mode
 
 
 

You can use the Stereo tools to process an anaglyph, interlaced or dual image clip containing one video track from either a left eye mono clip and a right eye mono clip or an existing stereo track directly on the EditDesk.

When the clip is processed, STR is appended to the clip name.

To process a clip in Stereo mode:

  1. Select and enable Stereo from the A/V Tools box.
  2. Enable the Stereo button.
  3. In the Input box, select the type of clips that you want to use.
  4. In the Stereo Mode box, select a stereo mode to display the appropriate processing method options.
    Select: To:
    Anaglyph Process a red/cyan clip.
    Interlace Process an interlaced RGB clip.
    Dual Image Process a clip containing adjacent images.
  5. In the Method box, options are based on the input mode you selected. Do one of the following.
    • If you selected Anaglyph:
      Select: To:
      Dubois Reduce ghosting between the left and right eyes.
      RGB Create an anaglyph result based on the RGB values.
      Mono Remove the RGB values before creating an anaglyph result. With this option, you will see just the stereo effect.
    • If you selected Interlace, select whether you want to output the left eye as field 1 or field 2.
    • If you selected Dual Image, select whether you want to output the left eye and right eye so that they are adjacent to each other in the same clip, either in a left and right or top and bottom orientation.
  6. Do one of the following:
    • If the Input Mode box is set to Left &Right Clips, select the left eye clip with the red cursor and the right eye clip with the green cursor.
    • If the Input Mode box is set to Stereo Track, select the stereo clip with the red cursor.
  7. Click the EditDesk.

    The clip is processed on the EditDesk.

  1. To customize the RGB left and right values of an anaglyph clip:
  2. Select the left eye clip with the red cursor and the right eye clip with the green cursor.
  3. Click the E button to access the module editor. If the module editor has been previously accessed it will be replaced by an S button. See Using the Desktop Module Editor and Accessing Modules with Previous Clips.
  4. Click the EditDesk.
  5. Inside the Anaglyph Editor, select Custom from the Anaglyph Method box, modify the values in the applicable fields and process.
