You can work in a container and see the results in context of the record timeline.

To edit a container in context of the record timeline:

1. From the record timeline, lock the Player focus to Record focus. First, select Record from the Focus box and then click the LED on the Record Focus button.
   
2. Make sure Preview FX is selected in the Player.
3. Double-click a container to enter it.
4. Add or edit soft effects or transitions.

   The container's result is displayed in the Player in context of stacked layers in the record timeline.
