The following features are now supported when sharing content between Lustre 2012 and Smoke 2012 or Flame 2012:
About Containers and Matte Containers and Lustre, Flame and Smoke Interoperability
To share Lustre 2012 containers and matte containers with Smoke 2012 and Flame 2012, you must render to Wiretap server 2012 in Source Grade render mode with the Multilayer option enabled.
Source Grade render mode preserves all shots, video tracks, and layers in the timeline, as well as dissolve metadata. In Source Grade render mode, Lustre retimes are rendered into the results.
Smoke 2012 and Flame 2012 do not support multi-channel clips. When working with multi-channel clips in Lustre 2012, rendering in Source Grade render mode with Wiretap Server 2012 creates a matte container.
Supported Wiretap Server versions
All new interoperability features require Wiretap Server 2012
Lustre 2012 is able to read and write to any version of Wiretap Server.
When rendering, you must be sure that you are using the same version of Wiretap server as Smoke and Flame. For example, if you create a project with Smoke 2011 and run Wiretap Server 2012, Lustre will not be able to write media files to the project.
