File

Displays the file path for the image loaded on the stencil. The stencil image is loaded either by clicking an image on the Stencil tray, clicking the Import button or using the Set Stencil button in the Image Browser.

Import

Launches the file browser for loading a stencil image into the active camera in3D View. Navigate to the directory and select Open. If using the Image Browser, select a thumbnail in the file browser and click the Set Image Plane icon on the Image Browser bar.

Transformation

This section lists the stencil’s Translation, Rotation and Scale properties and lets you enter values to change the position and scale of the stencil in the 3D View. Rotation occurs only within the camera viewing plane.

Invert Values

Inverts the values of the stencil image.

Hide When Sculpt

Hides the stencil while sculpting.

Flip Horizontal

Flips the stencil along its X axis.

Flip Vertical

Flips the stencil along its Y axis.

Use Tiles

Repeats the stencil image in X and Y screen space to fill the 3D View.

Show Tiles

Turns the display of the tiled stencil image on or off in 3D View.

Visibility

Controls the visibility of the stencil image in the 3D view. Visibility affects only the display and has no impact on the strength of the stencil.

Multiplier

Controls the strength of the stencil.

Offset

Offsets the stencil deformation relative to the surface of the model. The higher the number, the more vertices are raised and pulled out. The lower the number, the more they are pushed in. Set to the middle value (50), brushing over black pixels of the stencil image pushes vertices down, and brushing over white pixels pull vertices out.
