Starting mental ray 3.6.51

mental ray can be started from a command line using the mentalrayrender command in a shell, for example: 

/usr/autodesk/mi3651/mentalrayrender myscene.mi

To view mental ray documentation
  1. In the shell window, type:

    2. cd /usr/autodesk/mi3651/doc

  2. Then type the command line to start your browser followed by index.html, for example:

    3. netscape index.html

    The default browser is launched and the mental ray online help home page is displayed.

    You may want to bookmark this location in your browser for future reference.
