Troubleshooting mental ray installation on Windows

This section describes issues you may encounter when installing mental ray 3.6.51 on the Windows operating system.

mental ray SPM Licensing tool window is blank

On the Windows XP, 64-bit operating system, when you start the mental ray SPM Licensing tool (Start > Programs > Autodesk > MentalRay SPM 3.6.51 > Autodesk Mental Ray SPM Licensing tool 3.6.51) the Product Configuration Wizard may appear blank.

If this occurs, uninstall the Autodesk Mental Ray Standalone 3.6.51 Licensing tool with the Windows Add and Remove Programs. Then reinstall the licensing tool from the CD (see Installing mental ray 3.6.51).
