Configuring service ports using the Product Configuration Wizard

Note On Windows Vista, you must run the Product Configuration Wizard as an administrator.

You can use the Product Configuration Wizard to set the service port for mental ray 3.6.51. By default, the port is 7008 but you can change it.

To set service ports

1. If necessary, select Start > Programs > Autodesk > MentalRay SPM 3.6.51 > Autodesk Mental Ray SPM Licensing tool 3.6.51. The Product Configuration Wizard may already be open from the previous steps.

The Product Configuration Wizard appears.





2. Select "I need to change the service port numbers for mental ray 3.6.51" under Network Configuration Tasks, and click Next.

The Update service ports screen appears.





3. Enter a new port number and click Next.

The service port information is updated and you get a confirmation screen. A backup of the old service information is also created. You are also prompted to restart mental ray processes. Additionally, you can re-open the Product Configuration Wizard.
