Autodesk Menu and Toolbar Porter Readme


The Autodesk® Menu and Toolbar Porter (MTPSETUP_2005.exe) is designed to help you bring your pull-down menus, toolbars, and keyboard shortcuts (accelerators) from previous versions of AutoCAD® or AutoCAD-based products into AutoCAD 2005-based products. You can also use this tool to remove menu and toolbar items from any AutoCAD MNU or MNS file.

Installation Instructions


Note: .NET must be installed before you install the Menu and Toolbar Porter. .NET is installed automatically when you install any AutoCAD 2005-based product. If .NET is not already installed, you must exit MTPSETUP_2005.exe, install .NET or any AutoCAD 2005-based product, and then return to this installation.

To install the Autodesk Menu and Toolbar Porter:

  1. Download the Autodesk Menu and Toolbar Porter (MTPSETUP_2005.exe) file.
  2. Close all running applications.
  3. Double-click MTPSETUP_2005.exe.
  4. In the Autodesk Menu and Toolbar Porter Installation wizard, on the Welcome page, click Next.
  5. On the Software License Agreement page, select the appropriate country, and click "I accept" to accept the license agreement. Click Next.
  6. On the Product Locations page, click Next. All installed AutoCAD 2005-based products will be updated with the Menu and Toolbar Porter.
  7. On the Setup Confirmation page, click Next.
  8. After the installation is complete, click Finish.

Uninstallation Instructions

To uninstall the Autodesk Menu and Toolbar Porter:
  1. In the Windows Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  2. In the Currently Installed Programs list, select Autodesk Menu and Toolbar Porter, and then click either Add/Remove or Change/Remove.
  3. Select Remove, and then click Next.
  4. When the Uninstall confirmation is displayed, click Next.
  5. Click Finish.
