The Autodesk Inventor(R) Plug-in 8.0 is used for viewing, marking up, and measuring .ipt, .iam, or .idw files created with Autodesk Inventor 5.3 or later. ============================== Who Should Install the Plug-In ============================== * Volo View 3 users who want to view Autodesk Inventor 5.3 or later files. * You do not need this plug-in if you have Autodesk Inventor 8 installed. * You cannot use this plug-in if you have earlier versions of Autodesk Inventor installed on your computer. * The Inventor Plug-in 8.0 is supported on the following Windows(TM) platforms only: * Windows 2000 Professional SP2 or later * Windows XP Professional/Home SP1 If you install the Inventor Plug-in 8.0 on Windows NT 4.0, an error message is displayed. ================== Before You Install ================== * Follow the steps below to verify that you have Volo View 3 Service Pack 2 installed on your computer: 1. Start Volo View 2. From the Help menu, choose About Volo View. 3. In the upper left hand corner of the About Volo View box, you'll see Volo View 3.0 followed by the build number in parenthesis. If Volo View 3 Service Pack 2 has been installed, you will see Volo View 3.0 (Build 996). * Verify that you don't have Autodesk Inventor installed on your computer. * If you have a previous version of the Inventor plug-in installed, uninstall it by going to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel. ============================================ To Install the Autodesk Inventor 8.0 Plug-In ============================================ 1. Download the setup program for the Autodesk Inventor 8.0 Plug-In to your hard drive. 2. Close all running applications. 3. Double-click the setup program for the plug-in.
